Je rappelle a mes amis voyageurs exempts de visa pour les Etats Unis qu’il faut remplir un formulaire en ligne au moins 72 heures avant de prendre l’avion (il remplace la petite fiche verte qu’ils donnaient a bord)…

Just to remind to my fellows travlers who want to visit the USA and who don’t need a Visa that they have to fill an online form at least 72 hours before the take off (this replace the little green sheet we used to fill in the plane)…

Uyuni > La Paz

Tout a commencer par une journee de fievre… la veille avec Kate on avait acheté les derniers tickets pour La Paz… Acoup d’aspirine et d’ibuprofen j’ai tenu le coup…

A full day of fiever… The previouis day with Kate we bought the last 2 ticket to La Paz… Aspirins and ibuprofen helped me to make it…

Quel trajet ! de 20h a 1h du mat’ la route etait pire que pourrie et je sautais literalement sur mon siege… Apres ce fut mieux… Me voici maintenant a La PAz a preparer un 6000M !

What a journey! from 8pm till 1am the road was bouncy and I was really jumping over my seat… Then it went better… By now I’m in La Paz to plan a 600m high trek!

Chile > Bolivia

Le meilleur moyen d’aller du Chili en Bolivie, a condition d’etre a San Pedro de Atacama et de vouloir aller a Uyuni, est de passer par un voyage touristique de 3 jours, c’est curieusement tres rentable et ca promet d’etre spectaculaire…
Je pars donc demain matin a 8h par Sol Andino, une agence tenue par Santiago, un chilien qui a passé 25 ans de sa vie a Paris…

The best way to go from Chile to Bolivia, if you are in San Pedro de Atacama and want to go to Uyuni, is to book a 3 days tour, and it look like it worth the money spent for the trip and the sceneries…
I’m leaving tomorrow morning at 8 with Sol Andino an angency owned by Santiago a chilean who had spent 25 years of his life in Paris…

L’ete en Patagonie, une autre organisation…

Summer in Patagonia, changing the plans…

Ici a Villa la Angostura il tombe un melange de pluie et de neige fondue, autant dire que ca colle a merveille avec les 4°C affiches par le thermometre…
Alors je pense a aller voir un peu plus au sud si le soleil existe, demain : direction El Bolson.
Et ensuite je remonterai pas Bariloche…
Sans oublier de soigner mes ampoules, mes pieds ont la peau a vif et pour marcher ce n est pas top…
Mais le moral et bon et la viande aussi !

Here at Villa la Angostura the weather give us rain and melted snow, and that fits perfectly with the 4°C outside…
So I’m thinking about moving down south to El Bolson to see if the sun shines there.
Then I’ll come back through Bariloche…
Without forgetting to care my feet and my blisters, the skin is out and I walk straight on the flesh, that isn’t than fun…
But my head’s fine and the meet here is delicious!

Glenn m’a permis d’utiliser ces outils et des bouts de poutres en acier pour que je construise un lit de niveau et solide dans mon Combi…

Glenn loan me his tools and gave me some steel beams to build a new bed in my Kombi, flat and solid…

Decouper les poutres pour faire le cadre du lit / Cutting beams to create the main frame of the bed

Fixer le cadre en metal sur le cadre en bois deja existant / fixing the steel frame on the wood frame

Souder les supports de poutres transversales sur le cadre / Walding the beams’ supports on the frame

Decouper les planches pour former le sommier / Cutting some plywood

Cadre et poutes (les poutres peuvent etre retirer facilement pour acceder au moteur / Frame and beams (easily removable to access the engine)

Fixer le sommier / Fixing the boards

les planches sont facilement retirables pour acceder au moteur / Boards are easily removable to access the engine
